I Heart Grandpa’s Hands

At the urging of a friend, I’ve submitted this image to I Heart Faces.

Faces are usually their focus, but this challenge highlights the hands.

I’ve never seen hands more beautiful than these.

They reflect 89 years of

hard work

service to country

respect to God and

devotion to wife & family.

His hands

scooped ice cream,

tended to plants,

pleated draperies,

held babies,

built gazebos,

sheds,

greenhouses,

and playhouses.

They also

navigated keyboards

and tapped out

memoirs

and

beautiful writings.

Love you Grandpa

Miss you so much.
